I originally made this mix in March of 2011 as a birthday present for my mother.  I never posted it up online...maybe only 8 CDR's total were given out to friends or sold at gigs here in the ATL.  Decided last month (dec 2011) that perhaps it would be a nice way to pay tribute & respect to post this up online either for his birthday or date of passing. While looking it up I thought I would go with whichever came first.  However soundcloud denied this mix because of copyright issues with guess what...Wilson Pickett, so thru Mixcloud this fine mix / tribute now has a proper home.

If you're not that familiar with Wilson Pickett or only know a couple of hits; I hope this will serve as a deeper understanding of this dynamic southern Funk & Soul vocalist.  If you're a fan and lover of Wilson's music & vocals I hope that you'll find I've done him justice in this mix.
